About Us

First Step First Love is a private residential group boarding facility with is licensed by the Department for Children and Families through the State of Kansas. We serve youth males ages 13-18

Our goal is to empower the youths with new skills which will enable them to make appropriate choices and decisions, making accountability a requirement rather than an option, and to advocate for each youth’s future well-being and best interests.

The mission of First Step First Love is to serve children, youths, and families through a loving, caring, and safe Christian environment. We believe prevention and early intervention are crucial elements in the solution for at-risks juveniles. We believe in treating each youth and family with respect because Jesus said, “suffer little children and not forbid them not, to come unto me: For such is the kingdom of heaven”. The vision of First Step First Love is to provide superior services for individuals through competent, caring, Christian adults who are trained in the most effective methods of child and family care.
